M45 - The Pleiades star cluster

The Pleiades star cluster is a prominent star cluster located in the constellation of Taurus. Visible to the naked eye, the cluster contains seven main stars.  It is usually a good test of a person's vision to see how many stars one can see.  I usually see seven but had seen as many as nine when I was younger and in dark skies.  The cluster itself is located about 450 light years from earth. 

This photograph was taken using a modified Canon T3i set at ISO 800 and a six-inch F-5 reflector.  The resultant image is a stack of six five-minute exposures:
