M65, M66, and NGC 3628 - The leo trio

M65, M66, and NGC 3628 are three galaxies that are a common astrophotography target for amateur astronomers.  The three galaxies are all about 35 million light years from earth and can be found in the constellation of Leo just south of the star Theta Leonis.

This photograph was taken using a Nikon D5000 set at ISO 800 and a six-inch F-5 reflector.  The resultant image is a stack of six ten-minute exposures:
