Name: The "Outer Limits" or "Silver sliver" galaxy

Instrument: 8-inch F5 reflector with skywatcher coma corrector and an ASI 2600 MC (gain 100 -20c)

Exposure time:16 Five-minute and 9 three-minute exposures.

Angular size: 14' X 3'

NGC 891 is an edge-on galaxy located in Andromeda. The name "outer limits galaxy" comes from the 1960s television show. The end credits would have photographs of galaxies. One of them was NGC 891. While it is close to it, it is not part of the Abell galaxy cluster 347. Many of the galaxies in that cluster are visible to the lower left of center in the image below.
