IC 59 and 63 are a reflection (IC 59) and emission (IC 63 - The Ghost) nebulae that are next to the bright star Gamma Cassiopeae. This star has the informal name of "Navi" because the Apollo 1 astronauts were to use it for a navigational aid. "Gus" Grissom named it Navi by spelling his middle name, Ivan, backwards. These two nebulae are part of the larger HII region SH2-185.
