Instrument: 8-inch F5 reflector with sky watcher coma corrector and a modified Nikon D3300.

Exposure time: A stack of 16 five-minute exposures at ISO 800.

NGC 4656 - 12.9'

NGC 4631 is a large spiral galaxy with an irregular shape that gives it its name. The nearby dwarf galaxy (NGC 4627) is a companion and is sometimes referred to as the baby whale. NGC 4656 is a warped barred spiral galaxy the looks like a hockey stick. Both objects are larger than 10' and they form an interesting pair to image.
