Angular size: 71' X 42' Messier 33, like Messier 31/32/205, is a spiral galaxy that is part of the local group of galaxies. It is located in the constellation of Triangulum, which is where it gets its name. M33 is a large object that is exhibits large spiral arms, which is why it has the name "pinwheel". One of the most interesting objects in the galaxy is the nebula NGC 604 in one of its arms. It is a massive nebulosity complex and has been determined to be a hundred times larger than the Orion nebula.
