Exposure time: A stack of 16 five-minute exposures at ISO 800.

Angular size: 15.5' X 13.5'

This is a barred irregular galaxy discovered by E. E. Barnard in 1884, which is why it is called "Barnard's galaxy". It is a large galaxy that is very diffuse with no structure. It is similar to the small magallenic cloud.
