Name: None Constellation:Monoceros Instrument: 8-inch F5 reflector with a sky watcher coma corrector and an ASI 2600 MC (gain 100 -20C) Exposure time:A stack of 27 five-minute and 12 three-minute exposures. Magnitude: 9.5 Angular size: 2 degrees The Monoceros R2 molecular cloud is a combination of emission, reflection, and dark nebula that extends about 2 degrees. Two of the most prominent nebula are the Angel Nebula (NGC 2170) and NGC 2182. This is a faint nebula and requires more integration time than what I dedicated in this image. The declination also lends itself to Geosynchronous satellites passing through the field of view when imaged from northern latitudes.
