Name: The "Monkey Head" nebula

Instrument: 8-inch F5 reflector with a sky watcher coma corrector and an ASI 2600 MC (gain 100 -20c)

Exposure time:A stack of 16 five-minute and 9 three-minute exposures.

Angular size: 40'

This nebula is an emission nebula located at the top of Orion's club near the Gemini border. The deep sky hunter star atlas does not give the NGC label. Instead, it is identified as IC 2159. The shape of the object appears to be that of a monkey's head. In this image, the head appears to be upside down.
