Magnitude: 15.2 Angular size: 2 degrees IC 2177 appears to be the designation for the entire "Seagull" nebula. It gets its name from the shape and is a large target covering over 2 degrees of sky. This makes it ideal for imaging with medium focal length (200-400mm) instruments.
