Magnitude: M97 - 9.9 M108 - 10.0 Angular size: M97 - 3' M108 - 9' X 2' Messier 97 is a planetary nebula and Messier 108 is a barred spiral galaxy. Despite both being less than 10 minutes of arc, the two objects, together, are a celestial showpiece. Therefore, they made the list.
