Magnitude: 5.8 Angular size: 20' This is the second, and last, globular cluster on the list. M13 has rival globular clusters visible from the northern hemisphere (M22, M3, M5, M4) but M13 is prominently placed in the sky and it has an interesting shape that puts it on the list. There is a nearby galaxy (NGC 6207) that is at the left in this image. An even smaller galaxy (IC 4617) can be seen about halfway, and a little above, between NGC 6207 and the cluster.
