This object is a blue reflection nebula that is near the star Beta Scorpii. Its shape is that of a horse's head but it is "upside down" for northern hemisphere observers. The image is "flipped", with south being at the top and west being on the left, in this image to show the orientation of the horse's head. The star, Nu Scorpii, serves as the horse's eye.
