NGC 300 is a spiral galaxy that forms a gravitationally bound pair with NGC 55 (AP1). Both were originally thought to be part of the Sculptor galaxy group but recent measurements indicate they are closer than the cluster of galaxies. It is a pretty faint galaxy with low surface brightness making it a challenge to image. However, its size is significant and earns it the right to be on this list.
