Instrument:8-inch F5 reflector with Sky Watcher coma corrector and ASI 2600 MC (gain 100 -20C).

Exposure time: A stack of 16 five-minute and 9 three-minute exposures.

Angular size: 90' X 40'

Next to the Orion Nebula, the lagoon nebula is probably the next most photographed messier object that is an emission nebula. It is a large object that is easily found in the heart of the milky way. This size and contrast with the background milky way starfield makes for spectacular images.
