Exposure time: A stack of 16 five-minute exposures at ISO 800.

Magnitude: 7.0

Apparent size: 1.2 degrees X 6'

This object is part of the Veil Nebula complex centered around the star 52 Cygni. The entire veil nebula, which encompasses an area of 3 degrees, are the remnants of a supernova that happened 10,000-20,000 years ago. This section has the shape of a Witch's broom. It is also called the "Lacework" or "Filamentary" nebula.
